How to prepare an OEM nail brush sourcing brief
The information that turns a product idea into a useful quotation and sample discussion.
A useful OEM nail brush brief connects the working specification with the brand presentation and order requirements. It gives the supplier enough detail to discuss feasibility, MOQ, quotation and samples.
Choose a reference or starting model
Send the catalog model, an existing sample, a photograph or a drawing. Explain which features should stay and which should change. If the request starts from a BQAN design, link to the selected brush or set so there is a shared reference.
Define how the brush needs to work
Specify the technique and medium first. Add head shape, length, width and the required hair or fiber composition. For a dual-ended brush, describe both ends. For a set, list every brush and its role.
- Head: shape, dimensions and material requirements.
- Construction: ferrule, handle, cap and any functional details.
- Appearance: color, finish and reference artwork.
- Assortment: quantity of each brush per set.
Explain the logo and packaging
Share your brand artwork and preferred position on the tool or packaging. Include a layout or visual reference if you have one. The artwork size, application and construction need to be reviewed together.
Describe the packaging format, individual protection, set presentation and outer-carton requirements. List any labeling or documentation needs for your destination market so they can be discussed before the quotation is finalized.
Add the commercial details
Include the estimated order quantity, destination country, intended sales channel and desired delivery window. Ask the supplier to confirm MOQ, sample cost, sample timing, production lead time and the applicable shipping terms. These are order-specific details, rather than promises implied by a catalog page.
We are sourcing [brush or set] for [market / channel]. Our estimated quantity is [quantity]. We need [head specification], [handle / logo requirements] and [packaging]. Our destination is [country] and target timing is [date]. Please review feasibility, MOQ and the sample plan.
Agree how the sample will be reviewed
Before sample production, decide what the sample must demonstrate. This can include head geometry, material specification, handle finish, logo appearance, set configuration and packaging. Compare the sample with the written brief and record the accepted specification before production planning.
BQAN's process starts with requirements and quotation, followed by sample review and production planning. Read about BQAN OEM / ODM development or share your brush project.
